John Wayne Cancer Institute at Saint John's Health Centre is a cancer research institute dedicated to the understanding and curing of cancer in order to eliminate patient suffering worldwide.

Wayne Enterprises continues to carry out John Wayne's wish by actively supporting cancer research, treatment, and education. In this pursuit Wayne Enterprises was involved in the creation of the John Wayne Cancer Foundation and has licensed the name to the John Wayne Cancer Institute in Southern California.  Portions of proceeds from licensing are allocated to cancer research, treatment, and education.

Such was the popularity of the Duke, his birthplace and museum provides a lasting memorial.
